My name is Timothea Thanh Tam Kim Pham (people call me “Timo” for short) and am a passionate individual with over ten years of cultural outreach, communications strategy, and arts programming experience. As someone who is passionate about helping creatives and small businesses increase their quality of life, I now offer my social marketing services to those who want to grow their businesses and presence in the community - locally, nationally, and internationally.
A bit about myself…
Growing up in Orange County, CA, I always felt the challenge of finding genuine community in a place marked by suburban sprawl and divided neighborhoods. I longed for deeper connections—not only with people but also with the work I was putting into the world.
As a millennial, I've seen firsthand the ongoing push for better conditions for working people. While it can feel challenging at times, I remain motivated by the vision of a future where individuals and their contributions are truly valued.
I came to Boston to attend university and fell in love with the New England area. I earned my degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Advocacy and Rhetoric at Northeastern University. I joined Mass Cultural Council (MCC) in 2019 and serve as the team contact for Local Cultural Councils and Cultural Districts. I also lead efforts on the Festivals & Projects grant program, focusing on creating more learning opportunities for festival producers and supporting the creation of connections between municipalities and cultural workers.
Before joining MCC, I helped produce community festivals in the Greater Boston Area, the City of Somerville, and the Boston Children’s Museum. I also work on food photography and social marketing projects for several creative small businesses, a family cookbook to showcase my Vietnamese-American identity, and my art forms: writing, jewelry-making, and piano.
